Episode 1.01 – The Pilot

The Dallas Cowboys Star Report debuts on the same day the Dallas Cowboys open training camp in San Antonio, TX. This year, the Cowboys open camp with fewer distractions than they had last season, and believe me that is a good thing. With all of the NFL News surrounding Mike Vick and the Falcons, the number of media
members present at the start of Cowboys camp was nowhere near the number last year.

In this pilot episode, show host Steven Miranda lays out the ground work for the show by going over the segments that will be included in the DCSR.

Steven takes a good hard look at the Cowboys 2006 season, and shares his 2006 training camp experience on the sidelines with the Cowboys, including an interview with Tony Romo before he was ever a starter. It appears that Romo somehow knew he would one day be a starter in the NFL. Steven also reveals that there is a part of him that is happy to see Bill Parcells step down as head coach and applauds the arrival of new head coach, Wade Phillips. You’ll have to listen to find out why.

The show concludes with a breakdown of the newest coaches with the Cowboys, Offensive Coordinator Jason Garrett and Defensive Coordinator Brian Stewart and a look at the Cowboys training camp schedule and pre-season games.
